I have known Master Lin Wenhui for a long time. In name, he is my senior brother within the Tai Chi school, but in reality, he is the most important guide on my journey into Tai Chi martial arts, and it can even be said that he is my true enlightening master.
He is a highly respected master in the traditional martial arts community of Hong Kong, a direct disciple of Master Wang Xianan, and has served as the president of the Hong Kong Qigong Tai Chi Society and the Tai Chi International Academy. He has studied under "Eagle Claw King" Zhang Zhanming and several renowned masters of internal martial arts, dedicating decades to the study of Tai Chi, Xingyi, and Qigong.
Since 2001, I have had in-depth exchanges with him on multiple occasions, and he has shown great concern for my practice methods and bodily changes.
In recent years, I have completely abandoned the traditional idea of "focusing on the dantian" and adopted a method of practicing while lying down, allowing the qi to flow freely without holding or guarding. During practice, I do not rely on mental guidance, yet I can sweat evenly all over my body within three to five minutes at a temperature of 6 degrees Celsius, and my blood and qi flow smoothly with stable body temperature throughout the year. He has praised this approach, stating that this is the true path of returning to the origin and following nature in internal martial arts.
He has encouraged me multiple times to summarize these experiences and pass them on to future generations, so that people can understand that the exchange of breath between humans and the universe can be achieved through natural methods and relaxation of body and mind. This affirmation has been an important force in my journey to this day.
